ABOUT
In a quiet corner of the Ozark Mountains of Southwest Missouri is a little wiring harness shop with big capabilities here in the Taneyville, 3 blocks off the 2 lane blacktop highway that winds through these ancient hills, growing amongst the native oaks and hickories and farmer's fields is Positive Connection, Inc.
Sure, our 14,000 square foot factory is new to the tiny town. Finished in 2008, we've only enjoyed it for a while now, but the people are of the same stock as have always worked in these hills. Most of them have been working since they were old enough to set on a tractor while the rest of the family bucked hay up on the trailer. Never mind that he/she couldn't reach the pedals. Someone would turn the old 8N around before it hit the fence. They know how to work a full day, and if the sun goes down before the job is done - well, they know how to turn on the lights.
Positive Connection, Inc. began on August 14th, 2001, in a little house about 10 or 15 minutes down the road in a neighboring town. Of course, 2001 was a rough year for the whole country but we were blessed with good customers and determined employees. The whole family pitched in and before long we were outgrowing the old garment factory that we shared with a local sign shop. We made do by adding a little store front a couple blocks away where the second hand store had closed.
We moved into our new factory at the end of February 2008, and finally had some room to spread out. You see, along the way we picked up a little experience, a few new capabilities and a whole lot of equipment. We're running 3 cut and strip machines, a couple fully automatic cut/strip and terminate machines, 3 component leading splice banders and more than a dozen applicator presses. And of course we do fine hand soldering but also heavy resistance soldering and resistance wire welding. We have in-house over-molding capabilities for custom connectors, over-molded strain reliefs and cord grip strain reliefs. We can even over-braid rough application harnesses for protection in tough environments. Our newest addition is a fully automated ARTOS machine which has both open and closed barrel terminating capabilities.
